Such as: After ending a day, instead of fading to the room and then to black, it instead fades straight to black. It's just smoother that way.

I recommend keeping the skip options as the defaults of "Skip Read Scenes" and "Pause After Choice".
This will let you skip through previously read scenes without missing any important things such as job tasks and new content.
